Working in the highest quality watercolours I will provide you with a portrait that will last a lifetime, working from your favourite photographs. Commission subjects include Dogs, Cats, Horses and British Wildlife. Paintings are presented with a mount and certificate of authenticity.
If you require a larger size, please contact me to discuss.
Here's how the commissioning process works;
Get in touch with me by phone or email.
We will chat about your requirements and I will let you know approximate timescales (usually no longer than four weeks). I will ask for a 50% deposit to secure your commission.
I will ask that you send me some photographs. Please see my below photography guide to ensure the best possible reference image.
I will then get on with the painting, letting you know of my progress as I go.
When the illustration is complete, I will invite you to come and see it or send you photographs. If you are happy with the painting, I will request the remaining payment before posting mounted and packaged, first class signed for.
I need good a close-up photograph, take your pet outside with the sun behind the photographer. The background doesn’t matter. If you have a particular favourite photo I am happy to use that, I copy the photo exactly.
Get someone to help by standing by the photographer’s side, holding a treat - food always does the trick!
If you want the bridle, head collar, collar etc. on the portrait, let me know as I will automatically ignore it.
Do I need both pets in the same photograph to work from?
No, you can have separate photographs of your pets and I bring them all into one portrait. As long as they are good quality photographs in similar poses.
